Job Description

Assigned to Reception at various points like front office, emergency, radiology, laboratory, exchange, etc.
Greet patients & bystander s in a courteous manner seeking admissions into a facility.
Raise bills for registration, consultation, admission/procedure tests or investigations, scans, etc. and collect payment.
Direct customers to the respective departments.
Interact with patients and their families to obtain registration information.
Provide information about availability of doctors, OP timings, IP non-medical information, and also give appointments with the consent of the doctor.
Prepare and process all admitting forms relating to patient admission.
Communicate patient rights, billing and payment procedures to patients or their bystanders.
Settle the cash collected with the accounts department at the end of the shift with the duplicate bills and report of the day s bills.
Comply with the hospital s dress code policy.
Work in shifts which rotate weekly.
Verify insurance and other eligibility criteria.
Perform verification, pre-certification and other applicable processes ensuring admissions.
Ensure compliance of hospital policies and procedures from patients and their bystanders.
