Internal Audit Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop and execute internal audit plans based on risk assessments.
• Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits of manufacturing processes and departments.
• Review the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Perform stock audits, asset verification, and physical inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
• Assess adherence to internal policies, SOPs, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
• Identify and evaluate business risks, fraud indicators, and operational inefficiencies.
• Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and process optimization.
• Verify financial records, transactions, and reporting accuracy.
• Review procurement, production, supply chain, and inventory management practices.
• Monitor cost control measures and highlight deviations.
• Conduct vendor audits and review contract adherence.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and corrective action plans.
• Present audit observations and recommendations to senior management.
• Track implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.
• Recommend improvements in operational efficiencies and internal controls.
• Support management in decision-making by providing insights from audits.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Preferred candidate profile:

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) preferred.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in manufacturing.
