Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Interior Designer / Architect with strong expertise in commercial and institutional interior design to support campus-wide infrastructure, branding, and space planning initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with university leadership, academic departments, and external vendors to deliver functional, aesthetic, and brand-aligned interior and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute interior layouts for academic buildings, offices, laboratories, student spaces, auditoriums, and common areas.
  • Plan and oversee commercial interior projects, ensuring compliance with institutional standards, safety norms, and timelines.
  • Lead outdoor layout and campus planning, including pathways, landscaping coordination, signage placement, and common spaces.
  • Ensure adherence to educational branding aesthetics, including color palettes, materials,
  • Manage vendor selection, work monitoring, and progress reviews for interior and outdoor projects.
  • Act as the single point of contact between internal stakeholders and external partners for design-related requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership teams, academic heads, administration, and facilities departments to understand requirements and translate them into design solutions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor execution, quality, and adherence to approved designs.
  • Maintain documentation for designs, approvals, budgets, and project progress.
  • Ensure sustainability, durability, and ease of maintenance in all design solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in commercial and educational interior design, materials, and space optimization techniques.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design / Architecture.
  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or institutional interior design projects.
  • Strong knowledge of interior layouts, space planning, and outdoor layout planning.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3Ds Max, or similar design tools.
  • Good understanding of educational branding, color psychology, and campus aesthetics.
  • Experience in vendor coordination, cost estimation, and project execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional departments.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
