Job Description

The Hostel Warden is responsible for the effective management and supervision of the hostel, creating a safe, disciplined, and supportive living environment for all students. The Warden plays a key role in maintaining order, addressing student needs, and overseeing the daily operations and welfare of hostel occupants. Key Responsibilities :- Discipline & Conduct Enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain discipline among students. Address behavioral issues and report serious concerns to management. Resident Welfare Act as a mentor and point of contact for students regarding personal and academic concerns. Ensure residents' safety, emotional well-being, and general comfort. Hostel Administration Maintain records of occupancy, student leave, and attendance. Allocate rooms and handle room changes or grievances. Safety & Security Oversee security arrangements to ensure proper functioning of security systems. Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain a log of incidents. Coordination with in-house Staff Supervise the housekeeping, maintenance, and catering staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Coordinate with suppliers for hostel goods and services. Health & Hygiene Monitor the cleanliness of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Ensure hygiene standards are met consistently. Should know the first aid kit and its usage during emergencies. Reporting & Compliance Submit regular reports to management on hostel status, incidents, and student behavior. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and local regulations.
