Position Summary The Performance Test Lead will lead all aspects of performance testing, including planning, execution, and reporting to ensure that applications perform optimally under expected and peak load conditions. The role requires close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement. Key Responsibilities Test Planning and Strategy : Develop and implement performance test strategies, plans, and scripts based on project requirements. Define performance testing objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria. Identify the required test environments, tools, and resources. Test Execution and Monitoring : Execute load, stress, volume, and scalability tests. Monitor application performance during test execution and analyze results. Identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and latency issues. Analysis and Reporting : Analyze performance test results to provide detailed reports on system behavior under load. Provide recommendations for performance optimization and tuning. Communicate findings to stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers. Collaboration and Coordination : Work closely with developers, system architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure effective performance testing. Coordinate with project managers to align performance testing with overall project timelines. Tool Management : Select, configure, and maintain performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust). Ensure the testing environment and tools are properly set up and maintained. Continuous Improvement : Establish and maintain best practices for performance testing. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies. Mentor and train junior team members on performance testing : 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in leadership role. Proven experience in leading performance testing efforts for large-scale Skills : Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust). Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python). Understanding of network protocols, databases, and server-side components. Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog). Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced Qualifications : Experience in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
