A leading provider in the tertiary healthcare and critical care services sector, delivering high-acuity inpatient and ICU care across multispecialty settings in India. We operate modern adult and mixed medical-surgical ICUs focused on evidence-based critical care, rapid escalation, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes for severely ill patients.Role: Critical Care Intensivist (On-site, India)Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level critical care management for adult ICU patients—lead daily rounds, set care plans, and make time-sensitive decisions for sepsis, respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, and multi-organ support.
- Manage advanced ventilatory strategies and weaning protocols, including non-invasive ventilation, invasive mechanical ventilation settings, and sedation/analgesia plans.
- Perform and supervise invasive procedures—central venous and arterial catheterization, bedside tracheostomy support, and emergency airway management—ensuring procedural safety and documentation.
- Oversee hemodynamic optimization using invasive monitoring, vasoactive titration, and point-of-care diagnostics; coordinate rapid response for deteriorating patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anaesthesia, infectious disease, nephrology, surgery, nursing, respiratory therapy) to implement ICU protocols, antimicrobial stewardship, and organ-support strategies.
- Lead quality improvement, clinical governance, and training initiatives: contribute to ICU protocols, mortality reviews, education of residents, and maintenance of clinical documentation and compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine, Anaesthesia, Pulmonology, or General Medicine (MD/DNB or equivalent).
- Valid Indian medical registration and current practicing license.
- Proven experience as an Intensivist in a tertiary or high-dependency ICU setting with responsibility for independent ICU patient management.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical ventilation strategies, ventilator weaning, and management of ARDS/severe respiratory failure.
- Competence in invasive procedures and hemodynamic monitoring (central lines, arterial lines, vasopressor management).
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and skills in acute resuscitation.
Preferred
- Experience with extracorporeal support (ECMO) or participation in ECMO programs.
- Accreditation or demonstrable competency in POCUS/critical care ultrasound and arterial blood gas interpretation workflows.
- Prior involvement in ICU leadership, protocols development, or academic activities (teaching, audits, publications).
