Insurance Underwriter

The ideal candidate for this position at Kunvarji should possess the following key responsibilities: - Underwrite commercial lines of business including Fire, Marine, Engineering, and Motor. - Review proposals, risk inspection reports, and evaluate risk exposure. - Provide recommendations for coverage terms, premiums, and policy conditions. - Collaborate with insurers for quotes, negotiations, and approvals. - Assist the sales team with technical underwriting queries. - Ensure that all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards. - Maintain internal MIS, reports, and ensure timely processing of underwriting cases. Preferred Candidate Profile: - A graduate with a background in Insurance/Finance is preferred. - Minimum of 4+ years of experience in general insurance underwriting. - Strong understanding of IRDA guidelines and insurance industry norms. - Excellent communication and analytical skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and insurance-related software.
