The climate Data Engineer will conduct geospatial data analysis, remote sensing, and environmental risk assessments. He/She will also support premium calculation and accurate loss modeling for agricultural insurance products. Qualifications and Experience Education Master’s or its equivalent in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Environmental science. General Experience 5–6 years experience in geospatial data analysis, remote sensing, environmental risk assessment, premium calculation, and accurate loss modeling for the agricultural sector. Strong capability in understanding farming practices, crop cycles, crop science, and economic drivers of agriculture. Proven expertise in deploying cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data engineering tools (SQL, Python, Spark), geospatial libraries, API development, and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, ArcView) for agricultural and insurance applications. Experience in producing geospatial maps, land use/land cover assessments, and other actionable analytics. Proficiency in both spoken and written English Technical Expertise Ag-Tech / InsurTech Capability Proven expertise in deploying cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data engineering tools (SQL, Python, Spark), geospatial libraries, API development, and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, ArcView) for agricultural and insurance applications. Track record of delivering solutions that reflect a deep understanding of farming systems, crop cycles, and economic drivers of agriculture.
