Job Description

A Field Sales Executive in health insurance is responsible for promoting and selling health insurance plans, identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. This role involves direct interaction with customers, both in person and through various channels like cold calling and networking. The executive also manages relationships with existing clients, generates leads, and ensures sales targets are met. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Identifying potential clients through various channels (cold calling, referrals, networking, etc.) and building a strong customer base. Sales & Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their health insurance needs, presenting suitable plans, and guiding them through the purchase process. Relationship Management: Maintaining positive relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals. Sales Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets for health insurance products. Reporting & Documentation: Maintaining records of sales activities, updating CRM systems, and preparing reports on sales performance. Market Knowledge: Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and relevant regulations. Collaboration: Working with internal teams (e.g., marketing, underwriting) to improve sales strategies and customer service. Required Skills: Sales & Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of health insurance products, policy features, and benefits. Customer Focus: Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Sales Techniques: Proficiency in direct sales techniques and customer acquisition strategies. Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze customer needs and identify appropriate solutions. Qualifications: Education: Typically, a bachelor's degree in any discipline, with a preference for degrees in commerce or finance. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry. Licenses & Certifications: A valid insurance license (e.g., Life or General Insurance) may be required.
