Job Description: Insurance AdvisorPosition: Insurance Advisor / Life Insurance AgentIndustry: Life Insurance / Financial ServicesLocation: As per company requirementEmployment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Commission-based (as applicable)Role OverviewAn Insurance Advisor is responsible for understanding customer financial needs and offering suitable insurance solutions. The role involves prospecting, educating, and guiding customers on life insurance, savings, protection, and investment products. The advisor helps customers secure their financial future while building a long-term trusted relationship. Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business DevelopmentIdentify potential customers through various channels (field visits, references, social media, etc.) Explain life insurance products such as term plans, savings plans, ULIPs, retirement plans, and health riders. Recommend the right policy based on customer needs and financial goals. Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets as assigned by the company. 2. Customer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships. Provide after-sales service and assist clients with policy servicing, renewals, and claims support. Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and guidance. 3. Market Research & Lead GenerationConduct research to understand customer needs and market demand. Generate leads through networking, community activities, and digital platforms. Participate in promotional activities and company-organized events. 4. Compliance & DocumentationEnsure accurate documentation for policy issuance. Follow company guidelines and regulatory norms prescribed by IRDAI. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Skills & QualificationsEssential SkillsGood communication and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of financial and insurance concepts. Ability to understand customer needs and offer the right solutions. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and disciplined. Preferred QualificationsMinimum 12th pass (as per IRDAI regulations). Experience in sales/finance/banking/insurance is an added advantage. Ability to work independently with a target-driven approach.
