Description
1.Instrument connection checking, termination checking, leakage arresting, loop testing,
parameter setting (through HART).
2. Maintenance, Overhauling of Field instruments and Equipment like Control Valves, Power
Cylinders, ON-OFF Valves, and Actuators.
3. Repair of Field instruments which are repairable with in-house resources.
d. Cable Laying, Glanding, Clamping, Socketing and Termination.
4. Assistance in Maintenance of CEMS System, Fire Alarm System, PA and EPABX Intercom System,
CCTV System, Vibration Monitoring System, PI System, Analysers, Gas Detectors maintenance.
5. Shutdown / Overhauling / Breakdown / Calibration jobs.
6. Erection and commissioning jobs.
7. Maintenance of DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems.
8. Assistance to IT related jobs.
9. Support services to all other Departments.
10. Replacement and Repair, Calibration of all kinds of Instruments and Equipment which can be
done in-house which Includes: Transmitters / Switches / Gauges / RTD / Thermocouple /
Thermowell etc. Cards / Actuators Replacement, Instrument / Actuator and other IMD Material /
Kit / Actuator shifting & others. Replacement of other instruments which comes under IMD
11. To provide manpower (technician) support to any visiting OEM engineer to execute the job.
12. Handling of any case of emergency which includes failure of any IMD installation or its auxiliaries, Unit
tripping or complete blackout of the Station.
13. To maintain a shift log book mentioning all details of shift work, information to be shared, shift round
inspection check list etc.
14. Creation/helping in creating of standard operating procedures for any problem attended in field, with
required details.
15. Routine Inspection of Analysers, UPS, DCS, PLC, Compressor, Air dryer, Receiver Tanks and other IMD
systems. Carrying out daily routine jobs like air receiver tank draining, AFR Draining, Impulse line flushing
etc.
16. Daily/ShiftWise Inspection for general abnormalities of all kinds of Field Instruments, Valve Actuators, DCS /
PLC, UPS system in different areas.
17. To maintain Safe Behaviour at site and at work. Follow all the necessary guidelines and policy of Safety as
applicable to site & Tata Power Safety Policy.
18. Reporting safety observations (manually/in system if applicable)like unsafe conditions, inapproachable job
areas, unsafe procedures, unsafe behaviour etc., conducting safety audit of all High-Riskjobs.
19. Assistance in Material quality inspection, material shifting, IMD system testing / rectification and other IMD
activities.
20. Housekeeping of all work areas that have IMD Installation including Contractor’s own tools tackles and
area.
21. To arrange for collection of the material as per the requisition made by IEL from the stores / designated
area & vice versa including loading andunloading of Materials installed as per safe working procedures.
22. Jobs are to be carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures/ Work Instruction given by IEL and as per
ISO & OHSAS standards.
23. Maintaining IMD Lab including maintaining the master calibrators and responsible handling of the same and
preparation / support in preparation of Calibration Records.
24. Maintenance of IMD Store with Records.
25. Modification of all IMD Equipment & Auxiliaries as per M/s IEL instruction.
26. Maintenance of instrument JB’s,Cleaning / Blowing of JB’s, Panels, PC’s, Panel hole covering etc.
27. Handling of Materials, Actuators, Equipment / Calibration Kits / Master Instruments.
28. IT related jobs like UTP and OFC. cabling, splicing, jointing etc. Laying of few new such cables and OFC with
associated terminations/ splicing are also to be carried out. Required necessary equipment for splicing, UTP
punching including encloses, RJ45 / Coaxial connectors and other consumables are to be arranged by
service provider.
