Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in field instrumentation, preferably in water and wastewater projects.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Field Instrumentation / I&C Engineer to support design, implementation, and commissioning of instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of process instrumentation, control system integration, and field installation practices, with proven experience in technical documentation and project support.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise:

  • Field Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in field instrumentation, preferably within water and wastewater projects.
  • Process Instrumentation Knowledge: Strong understanding of process instrumentation (flow, pressure, level, temperature, analytical) and their integration into control systems.
  • Instrumentation Selection: Ability to analyze process requirements and select appropriate instrumentation solutions based on technical and commercial criteria.
  • P&ID and Documentation Skills: Proficient in drafting and interpreting P&ID diagrams, instrumentation layouts, and control philosophies.
  • Product Selection and Vendor Evaluation: Experience in product selection, preparation of datasheets, technical submittals, and vendor evaluations.
  • Control Panels and Field Installation: Knowledge of control panel design, instrument wiring, and field installation practices.
  • Field Wiring and Loop Checks: Field wiring and loop check experience — ability to verify signal integrity, troubleshoot wiring issues, and support commissioning activities.
  • Documentation and Calibration: Strong documentation skills for preparing instrument indexes, loop diagrams, and calibration procedures.
  • Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Experience in site commissioning, troubleshooting, and functional testing of instrumentation (considered an added advantage).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • Familiarity with international standards and specifications.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
