As a National Key Accounts Manager for Modern Trade at one of the leading brands in the Bakery category in India, your primary responsibility will be to generate revenue from offline Modern Trade (MT) stores. This includes well-known stores such as Nature's Basket, Reliance, Star Bazaar, Dorabjee's, among others. You will need to devise unique strategies tailored to both national and regional MT retail stores. A key aspect of your role will be to develop and lead a team that is responsible for managing different accounts and activities. Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers will be essential. You will be required to finalize and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) on an annual basis with each store, ensuring that purchase orders are timely and align with set targets. It will also be your responsibility to monitor and manage product expiry and returns within specified limits. Visibility of the brand and its products in MT stores is crucial. You will be expected to design and implement marketing campaigns within these stores and provide detailed ROI reports using analytics. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Modern Trade (MT) and a proven track record of managing national chains at a Head Office level. Experience in handling a minimum of 5 MT chains at a regional level is also required. A thorough understanding of sales operations in the MT channel is essential. You should be skilled in appointing and managing distributors as needed and proficient in relationship management with customers. Being a team player is vital in this position. You should have the ability to drive results from both internal team members and external stakeholders. Demonstrating excellence in in-store execution at a store level through the local team is expected. Additionally, you should be prepared for Pan India travel for 8-10 days per month.
