Institutional Sales Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for institutional clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and client segments.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in institutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams for strategy refinement.
  • Coordinate with logistics, commercial, and plant teams for timely deliveries.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
  • Organize and participate in promotional campaigns and technical seminars.
  • Collaborate with marketing for branding and visibility initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in institutional or project sales, preferably in the cement or building materials industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
  • Self-confidence and persuasiveness
  • Well-versed with topography of respective allotted Market areas in Chennai City.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
