Job Description

  • Ink & Ribbon Validation:
    Evaluate and qualify inks, ribbons, and cartridges for compatibility with Videojet printers and different packaging substrates.
  • Substrate Testing:
    Conduct adhesion, durability, drying time, and print quality tests on a wide variety of surfaces including paperboard, laminated films, foils, PET, HDPE, glass, and metals.
  • Formulation Analysis:
    Collaborate with ink development teams to analyze, refine, and troubleshoot ink formulations specific to customer applications and industry needs.
  • Material Interaction Studies:
    Study and document interactions between ink chemistry and packaging materials to ensure optimal performance in industrial environments.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    Maintain detailed reports of test results, validation protocols, and regulatory compliance as per internal and customer requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with Product Managers, Application Engineers, and the Sales/Service teams to provide technical support for customer trials and escalations.

  • Ability to work well independently and exercise appropriate judgment under general direction.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, goals and tasks consistent with the department and corporate objectives.
  • Ability to multi-task, completing concurrent projects within given time frames and balancing interruptions and change requests. Takes initiative to establish new processes and methods to support a variety of coordination activities.
  • Decision-making and coordination with other departments- To solve technical issues, and interact with key partners for problem-solving
  • Analytical skills and communication skills- Ability to analyze technical problems and provide solutions
Education Diploma / Engineering in any stream.
  • Bachelor s or master s degree in chemical engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ink development, testing, or validation (preferred within inkjet coding, printing, or packaging industry).
  • Strong understanding of ink formulation chemistry, including solvent-based, water-based, and UV-curable systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial substrates used in FMCG, pharma, food, and beverage packaging.
