About the Role: We are looking for a senior Kafka Confluent developer, in the DAMO Platform team, who will help with the managed service production support and minor enhancement activities. Required Skill Set: Ansible, Confluent Kafka Suite, AWS, Disaster Recovery (DR), Apache Camel Technical skills You have worked on Infra Automation with Terraform and Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet. You have a deep understanding of Kafkas core components (Brokers, Topics, Partitions, Replicas, Producers, Consumers, Consumer Groups). You are good at identifying and resolving issues with Kafka clusters and applications, as well as monitoring performance and availability. You have experience in analyzing Kafka performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and scalability. You have a good understanding of at least one Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) You have had exposure to observability tools such as Grafana or equivalent and you are proficient in using data from these tools to dissect and identify root causes of system and infrastructure issues You have a good understanding of Disaster Recovery patterns and experience on performing a switchover to secondary environment in case of a disaster. You were actively involved in maintenance activities like patch management, Version upgrade, Performance Tuning, User management & Access control. Professional skills You have good articulation skills and ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical individuals You are willing to be part of a rotation- and need-based, 24x7 available team You have the ability to work in close communication with engineering teams to identify single points of failure and other high-risk architecture issues by proposing and implementing resilient solutions You are interested in learning new concepts and keeping your skills and knowledge up-to-date You stay informed about new and emerging thoughts in your technical space.
