Information Technology (IT) Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support

• Provide timely and effective technical support to users on hardware, software, networks, and systems.

• Network and System Administration

• Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN, servers, firewalls, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Software and Hardware Installation

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and hardware equipment (PCs, printers, routers, etc.).

• Security and Data Protection

• Implement cybersecurity measures, ensure data backup, and protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and data breaches.

• System Upgrades and Maintenance

• Regularly update and maintain software, firmware, and hardware to improve functionality and security.

• Documentation and Reporting

• Keep accurate records of system configurations, issues, maintenance logs, and technical procedures.

• Training and Guidance

• Educate and support staff on technology use, best practices, and security protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1+ years) in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with networks, servers, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and backup systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or MCSA
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Work Environment

• Full-time role (on-site or hybrid depending on company policy)
• May require occasional travel or off-hours support depending on projects
