HIRING ALERT: Industrial Relations & Human Resources Manager

Role Overview:

Industrial Relations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Labor Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements
  • Advise management on labor law implications and union negotiations

Employee Engagement & Conflict Resolution

  • Address grievances and disputes between employees and management
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts involving unions, government agencies, or internal teams
  • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations

Union & Contract Management

  • Act as liaison between labor unions and management
  • Prepare documentation and support management during collective bargaining
  • Monitor compliance with union contracts and labor agreements

Policy Development & Implementation

  • Develop and implement industrial relations policies and procedures
  • Conduct training sessions on labor law awareness and workplace conduct
  • Maintain accurate records of IR activities and decisions

Strategic HR Support

  • Contribute to workforce planning, performance management, and compensation strategy
  • Support plant-level HR operations including hiring, layoffs, and job analysis
  • Participate in monthly labor-management meetings and policy reviews

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations practices
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Being the primary point of contact between the organization, government authorities, and external agencies to ensure compliance with labor laws and smooth resolution of industrial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Law, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in industrial relations or plant HR roles
  • Experience in unionized environments preferred
