Job Description

Qualification : BE Industrial/Mech/Production Purpose of Position To work for Operational transformation by creating maximum value through effective deployment of latest Industrial Engineering practices. Also actively participate in NPD activities for supporting new as well as transfer projects. Promote Lean manufacturing culture to drive continual improvement in manufacturing process to eliminate waste across the supply chain. Specific Responsibilities Providing inputs like cycle time, layout, and material flow, etc., to CFT during all stages of new product development. Carry out time studies and process standardization. Participate and contribute in cross-functional teams. Periodic auditing of standard vs. actual cycle time, takt time, layouts, and manpower. Participate and contribute in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Carry out audits (Routing & BOM) to challenge standard costs by verifying standards vs. actuals vs. drawings. Product packaging improvement and optimization. Drive for continuous improvement to support the organization on focal points. Optimize material movement and handling systems to reduce unnecessary material movement on the shop floor. Handle any other projects/work assigned by management. Participate in GLSS activities wherever assigned. Ensure that applicable QMS requirements are appropriately addressed in the area of work. Ensure that ISO 14001 and applicable legal requirements related to EMS are addressed appropriately in handled areas. Promote lean manufacturing culture to eliminate waste in processes. Benchmark the best practices from other plants and world-class manufacturing industries to drive towards excellence. Optimize floor plan layouts. Job Specification Skill Sets & Competencies Good interpersonal & communication skills. Analytical skills, including problem-solving tools and techniques (at least the basic 7 QC tools). Knowledge of SAP for IE-related activities such as work centers, productivity & OEE reports, BOM, routing, etc. Basic project management skills. Hands-on experience with lean deployment. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD for preparing layouts. Constantly upgrading to the latest industrial engineering techniques. Benchmarking against the best practices in the industry. Data analysis & interpretation of outcomes. Simulation & modeling of processes to estimate the outcome and deliver the best solution. Exposure to ERP systems Preferred. Knowledge of TPM, Visual Management, 5S Preferred. Data Analytical skills.
