Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida for an Individual Tax (Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager). The professional will be responsible for preparing and filing individual tax returns, managing payroll administration, drafting financial statements, and utilizing accounting software to ensure efficiency and accuracy. They will work closely with the team to ensure client compliance with tax regulations and maintain high standards of data confidentiality and professionalism.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Review individual (1040 HNI) tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation. This includes federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Ensure that all tax filings comply with the latest tax laws and regulations. Assist in tax planning activities to minimize the organization’s tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest changes in tax laws, regulations, and case law. Conduct detailed tax research to support tax compliance and planning efforts.
  • Maintain clear and thorough records of tax filings, correspondence, and supporting documents. Assist in preparing tax reports for management and auditors.
  • Collaborate with clients (internal or external) to gather information required for accurate tax filings. Address client queries and provide explanations regarding tax positions and filings.
  • Assist with tax audits, special tax projects, and other ad-hoc assignments as necessary. This may include review and analysis of tax credits, deductions, or other tax-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining tax preparation processes and improving efficiency within the tax department.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in US Taxation is required.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, CCH, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
