Job Description

  • We’ll look to you to perform Independent Price Testing (IPV) activities and related requirements for NatWest Markets and other relevant entities, ensuring that Front Office traded instruments are priced accurately and in line with models, methodologies and regulatory requirements
  • You’ll be preparing, reviewing and enhancing IPV, PruVal and associated processes on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, leading more junior colleagues to achieve right first-time results
  • This is a great opportunity where you’ll be reviewing and presenting MI used for the management of the service to NatWest Markets related to IPV
  • This role is offered at associate vice president level
What you'll do
In this key role, you’ll maintain design processes, controls and systems such as EUDAs used to record, process and manage IPV, taking responsibility for bank-wide requirements, such as Enterprise-Wide Risk Management. You’ll also be performing ad-hoc duties related to new trades, deals or business changes that have an IPV impact including managing stakeholders and influencing colleagues to achieve the right outcomes in IPV.Additionally, you’ll be:
  • Accountable as part of a team for the completion of assigned IPV processes, checking peer or more junior colleagues work and promoting best practice and knowledge to colleagues
  • Accountable for the effective operation of controls and the accurate recording of effectiveness evidence related to these controls, including peer review or overseeing junior colleagues’ work
  • Accountable for the presentation of MI and other decision-making material to more senior colleagues and the service recipient
  • Owning the resolution of data and other issues, such as control weaknesses
  • Accountable for responding to stakeholder queries and challenge related to the products covered, including supporting colleagues in the timely management of the service
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong product knowledge on an Investment Bank's balance sheet, including exposure to multiple asset classes, FX Products, Bonds, Repos, or similar. A CA, MBA or other recognised qualification in Finance with significant post qualification experience across related roles will be advantageous.You’ll also need:
  • Advanced Microsoft skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Co-Pilot and supporting features, for example SQL
  • A strong level of experience working in supervising a Product Control, IPV or similar function within a complex global bank
  • Good knowledge of the accounting and regulatory requirements that impact products such as derivatives
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills in order to drive optimal solutions for stakeholders
