Job Description Role Overview:-The position is responsible for production planning, shop floor management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, high-quality output, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities1. Prepare & Execute Production Plan Finalize and prioritize daily/weekly production plans as per business guidelines. Monitor and ensure availability of production-related consumables (packing materials, machine-related items, etc.). Deploy line-wise manpower effectively to meet production schedules. Support line balancing based on product mix. Take initiatives to maximize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). 2. Adherence to Safety Rules & Practices Conduct safety training for employees on a regular basis. Identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures. Drive fool-proofing initiatives on machines through Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, and Visual Management. Ensure proper availability and usage of PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment). 3. Continuous Improvement in Customer Satisfaction IndexImplement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) for both internal and customer complaints. Periodically review process control documents (e.g., Control Plan, FMEA, etc.). Communicate customer-specific requirements across concerned teams. Prepare and maintain QMS documentation and ensure compliance. Provide training to department members on quality systems. Participate in internal audits and ensure timely action plans for NCs/observations from audits (internal or external). 4. Shop Floor Management Practices Identify and finalize proper locations for material placement on the shop floor. Define standards and implement scientific shop floor management practices using checklists and visual controls. Skills & Competencies Required Technical/Functional Skills Strong knowledge of production planning and execution. Understanding of OEE, line balancing, and shop floor management. Hands-on experience in safety practices, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, and Visual Management tools. Familiarity with quality systems (QMS), CAPA, Control Plan, FMEA. Knowledge of internal/external audit processes. Behavioral Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Good team management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and training ability. Proactive, detail-oriented, and process-driven. Eligibility Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: 3 – 8 years in production, quality, or shop floor management within manufacturing/automotive industry.
