Job Description

As an In-House Sales Executive with a background in the tea industry, your primary responsibility will be to manage direct sales operations from our head office. You will engage with customers through various channels, handle inquiries, process orders, and focus on driving sales performance by showcasing our premium tea products. Your key responsibilities will include attending to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions at the head office. You will provide detailed information about our tea products and services, coordinate with brokers for proper tea representation in auctions, verify and maintain auction-related transaction records, process sales orders accurately, and collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely deliveries. It will be essential for you to maintain customer records, track inquiries, follow up on leads, and close sales effectively. Additionally, you will prepare sales reports, provide performance updates to management, monitor inventory levels, and work with production and supply chain teams to manage stock availability. You will also assist in organizing tea tastings, sales promotions, and customer engagement events while supporting the marketing team with customer feedback and insights. To excel in this role, you should be a graduate in any discipline, preferably in sales, marketing, or hospitality, with at least 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a similar field, ideally within the tea or hospitality industry. Having knowledge of tea types, manufacturing processes, and tasting techniques will be advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and/or local languages, along with proficiency in MS Office and email communication, are essential. Your sales skills, including negotiation, upselling, and relationship-building abilities, will play a crucial role in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets. The preferred candidate will have prior experience in the tea industry or a related field, a customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
