Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARYAdministerspayments to Investigators & Institutions participating in clinical trials inaccordancewithsponsor and Organization’srequirements.Works with internal teams to ensure appropriate fundingprior to administeringpayments,keeps internal and externalteammembersawareofsitepaymentstatusandissues.
Job Responsibilities
- Processesinvestigatorpaymentsby:
- Managing theinvestigator payment portionin various CTMS Tools likeIMPACT, Medidata, and Clinpay etc.
- Reviewing datawithprojectmanagerforqualityandcompleteness
- Processing and creating approved grant payment requests via the CTMS Tools and forwarding orinterfacing withA/P; and
- Distributing investigator payments to respective sites
- Facilitates site payments with internal groupssuchasclinicaloperations,projectmanagement,accountspayable,accounts receivable, and site contracts teams. Coordinateswithregionalcolleaguestoensureholisticglobal view of project payment/funding status.
- Collaborateswithaccountsreceivableand project management to ensure advance funding is received fromsponsorsonatimelybasisfor global project needs and deposits are available before site payments areprocessed.
- Creates, maintains, and reconciles MS Excel Project Grant Tracker asnecessary.
- Reviewsand interrogates ClinicalTrial Agreements(CTAs)and CTA amendments to ensure payments aremade according to the documented payment terms and schedule. Discrepancies should be escalated to their linemanager or the appropriate project teammember as needed.
- Prompts project teams through grants payment process and system navigation, as needed.
- Researches,compiles,andcreatesnecessaryinformationasrequiredinsupportofsponsorinvoicing.
- Identifies and works with clinical team tofollowup on invoice discrepancies, past dueinvoicesandto requestrefunds from sites.
- Ensures proper account and project coding are applied tothirdparty invoices as it relates to investigatorpayments.
- Creates project reports as requested fromsponsors,operations,accountingand/oruppermanagementtosupportSunshine Act reporting & various other statutory reports,monthlyclose process and ad hoc financial analysis.
- AssistsInvestigator PaymentsManagerwithAuditsofsitepaymentsandsponsordeposits.
- Minimaltravelmayberequired(upto25%).
- Workswithsponsorsystemsand applications as required by the project.
Qualification Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance,plussomefinancial experience; orequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience.
- Strongproficiency in using Excelforspreadsheetanalysis.ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeSuite(Word,Excel, PowerPoint),email, and voicemail.
- Oracleexperiencepreferred but not mandatory.
- Foreignlanguageproficiencypreferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meetdeadlinesinadynamicenvironment.
- Aboveaverageattentiontodetail, and interpersonal skills withateam-orientedapproach.
