IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) Placement Coordinator

As the IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) Placement Coordinator, your role involves collaborating with corporates, HR leaders, and industry partners to create placement and returnship opportunities. You will be responsible for mapping the skills requirements specific to engineering job openings across the country and managing relationships with beneficiaries of returning women engineers and scholarship students involved in philanthropy initiatives of IEEE India Philanthropy. Your tasks include providing capacity building, mentoring, guidance, and handholding support to the returning women engineers and engineering students. Additionally, you will coordinate and manage the WIE program, ensuring the completion of soft skill and technical training for women engineers to make them industry-ready for easy placement. Your responsibilities also include organizing HR events, workshops, conclaves, and conferences to promote the concept and vision of Women In Engineering. Career counseling and job readiness sessions for WIE participants will be part of your duties. You will represent IEEE India Philanthropy at conferences, corporate forums, and media platforms to enhance visibility. It is essential for you to continuously innovate and bring new ideas to strengthen the employability of women in engineering. Qualifications: - Graduate or Postgraduate with 1-2 years of experience in HR placement; knowledge of social issues is an added advantage - Willingness to travel extensively to project locations - Dedication to work with a not-for-profit entity exclusively focused on promoting technology for humanity - Good written and communication skills in English and Hindi; proficiency in any two local languages will be advantageous - Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in HR, corporate relations, talent acquisition, or workforce development - Demonstrated track record of establishing and leveraging corporate connections for hiring, placements, or partnerships You will be based out of Bangalore but required to travel to project locations across India. The salary for this temporary position will depend on your exposure to social projects and years of experience.
