IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) Placement Coordinator

As the IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) Placement Coordinator, your role will involve collaborating with corporates, HR leaders, and industry partners to create placement and returnship opportunities. You will be responsible for mapping the skills required for engineering job openings across the country and managing relationships with beneficiaries of returning women engineers and scholarship students involved in philanthropy initiatives of IEEE India Philanthropy. Your key responsibilities will include providing capacity building, mentoring, guidance, and handholding support to returning women engineers and engineering students. Additionally, you will coordinate and manage the overall WIE program, ensuring the completion of soft skills and technical training for women engineers to enhance their employability. You will also be organizing HR events, workshops, conclaves, and conferences to promote the concept of Women In Engineering. Career counseling and job readiness sessions for WIE participants will be part of your responsibilities, along with representing IEEE India Philanthropy at conferences, corporate forums, and media platforms to enhance visibility. Your educational background should include a graduate or postgraduate degree with 1-2 years of experience in HR placement, with knowledge of social issues being an added advantage. You should be willing to travel extensively within project locations and work exclusively with a not-for-profit entity to promote technology for humanity. Having good written and communication skills in English and Hindi is essential, and proficiency in any two local languages will be an advantage. A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in HR, corporate relations, talent acquisition, or workforce development is required, along with a proven track record of establishing and leveraging corporate connections for hiring, placements, or partnerships. Please note that the primary location for this role is in Bangalore, with travel required to project locations across India. This is a full-time temporary position with a duration of 12-15 months.
