Role Overview We are seeking a Mechanical / Hydraulic Engineer to lead and support the development of mechanical systems and test infrastructure for water-related projects. The role includes both CAD-based design of components and hands-on implementation of hydraulic test setups for pipes, valves, flow meters, and associated assemblies. Familiarity with relevant standards is essential to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of testing and design activities. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical parts, fixtures, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Set up and manage hydraulic test benches for flow, pressure, and performance testing of water system components. Interpret and apply engineering standards such as ISO 4064 (Water Meters for Cold Potable Water and Hot Water) and relevant IS codes (e.g., IS 779, IS 2373, IS 6784) in test planning and design. Conduct performance evaluation and durability tests on hydraulic components like valves, flow meters, and pipelines. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for component sourcing, system integration, and deployment. Ensure all designs and tests align with applicable BIS, ISO, and industry regulations for water systems. Document procedures, test results, and modifications with clarity and precision. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Hydraulic Engineering , or a related discipline. 2–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical or hydraulic system design and testing. Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks , AutoCAD , or similar platforms. Practical knowledge of fluid mechanics , pipe and valve systems , and instrumentation . Familiarity with relevant standards including ISO 4064 , IS 779 , IS 2373 , or equivalent. Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills.
