The short version:

Who we’re looking for: Someone who has worked with adult learners and is experienced in both designing learning content and delivering it effectively to small and large groups. You should be someone who can break down complex ideas into simple, actionable concepts and who takes satisfaction in helping people build clarity, confidence, and practical skills that lead to measurable outcomes.

What the role is about: This role involves creating and running structured, outcome-based learning experiences that help students crack interviews, secure placements, and perform effectively in their jobs. You’ll focus on building the capabilities and mindset required for long-term professional success.

Why you should apply:
This role offers a direct line of sight between your work and real-world outcomes. The impact of your training will be visible through the placements and professional growth achieved by your students. If you value seeing tangible results from your efforts, this role provides exactly that.

About us:
Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate across ~3,000 candidates, and we are gunning to become the world’s largest career launchpad, across domains.

We’re backed by a number of eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of global giants like RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.
The detailed version:

At Kraftshala, we run Behavioral Skills (aka Human Skills) training to help students - from freshers to experienced professionals - discover themselves, uncover their personal stories, and build the confidence and skills needed to crack CVs and interviews.
As a Human Skills Trainer, your mission is to ensure every student not only learns but also secures the opportunities they are preparing for. You’ll be guiding them in understanding who they are, what they bring to the table, and how to communicate that story effectively in the job market.
Your success in this role will be measured by four things:
  • Placement Percentage Rate (Primary Metric): Driving outcomes through a cutting-edge curriculum, real projects, and smart use of placement analytics.
  • Internship-to-PPO Conversion: Equipping students with the skills and mindset to excel in their internships and successfully convert them into Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).
  • Student NPS (Happiness & Engagement): Creating lively, interactive experiences that keep energy high and students genuinely enjoying the process.
  • Assessment - Placement Correlation: Designing and refining evaluations that accurately predict job-market success.
If you’re passionate about helping young adults grow, thrive, and launch their careers, this is as close to a dream role as it gets.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Training (~80% of your time)

Content Development
- You’ll be working together with your team lead to create content that is aligned to the in-house curriculum and frameworks; at the core of which lies an understanding how recruitment and selection works to a smaller extent, and the cognitive and emotional needs of different adult learners to a larger extent. Trainings are primarily around:
  • Building self-awareness
  • Producing high quality work products
  • Communicating openly, honestly and with empathy
  • CV creation
  • Interview Preparation

Training
- You will also be executing these sessions for your assigned batch of 60 - 70 students on a daily basis.

Coaching & Evaluation (~20% of your time)

  • Evaluating submission - You will also be evaluating some of the work products that students produce from our sessions. The feedback will be in oral or written format depending on the activity.
  • 1-1 support - Using the data from the evaluations, you will be creating interventions for your students to achieve the intended outcomes, depending on their needs.
Monthly Outcomes:

Month 1:

  • Onboard into Kraftshala systems, tools, and frameworks
  • Shadow 3-4 live sessions and co-deliver at least 2
  • Evaluate 10+ student submissions with team lead feedback
Month 2:
  • Independently deliver training sessions for the assigned batch
  • Own evaluations for at least 50% of batch submissions
  • Begin 1:1 interventions with students lagging behind

Month 3+:

  • Fully own a batch of 40-45 students end-to-end (training, coaching, evaluation)
  • Proactively suggest curriculum/process improvements based on placement analytics
  • Consistently hit student placement & NPS targets
Top Grading:
  • Curiosity & Truth-Seeking Mindset: A-Player asks thoughtful, first-principles questions; digs deep to understand how things actually work - whether it's a marketing algorithm or a student’s struggle with a concept. B-Player accepts things at face value, sticks to surface-level understanding, and is hesitant to challenge assumptions.
  • Learning Agility: A-Player quickly picks up new concepts, tools, and methods, and applies them effectively in live situations; B-Player is slow to adapt, resists new approaches, and struggles to transfer learning into practice.
  • Training Delivery: A-Player creates interactive, high-energy, student-centered sessions and adapts in real-time to learner needs; B-Player relies heavily on slides/lecture and struggles to maintain engagement.
  • Coaching & Feedback: A-Player gives crisp, actionable, empathetic feedback that drives measurable student improvement; B-Player gives generic, delayed, or demotivating feedback.
  • Ownership: A-Player spots trends early, proposes solutions, and drives batch outcomes independently; B-Player waits for instructions and shows limited ownership of results.
  • Problem Solving: A-Player approaches challenges with structured thinking and creativity, finds practical solutions under constraints, and keeps momentum; B-Player gets stuck, focuses on obstacles, or defaults to others for answers.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: A-Player uses placement dashboards and assessment data to refine their approach; B-Player rarely uses data and relies only on subjective judgment.
Must Haves:
  • 2-4 years of experience in teaching, training, or coaching individuals and groups in formal/ semi-formal setups (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for).
  • Passion for helping people learn, grow and fulfill their potential.
  • A knack of getting things done within deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and Google tools, and enthusiasm, comfort and agility with learning other online tools and technologies that aid skill-building in the virtual space for small and large groups of students.
Good to Haves:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Recruiting/hiring decision-making experience in different fields (Marketing/Sales/Others).
  • Experience in online training.
Recruitment Process:

As a small team, we must get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation with us will last about 30-60 minutes, and will be a mix of online and in-person interactions.

  • Conversation 1:
This will be a virtual call with the HR team to understand your profile briefly and share the details of the selection process to set expectations about what you’re signing up for
  • Technical Exercise: This is a specific assessment designed to evaluate your fit for this role
  • Conversation 2: This will be a detailed assessment review conversation with the Human Skills Training team to go over your submission for the technical exercise.
  • Conversation 3: This will be a conversation where you can expect to be further evaluated on the competencies needed for the job (mentioned above).
  • Conversation 4: A conversation with our CEO to ensure that there is a fit with the Kraftshala Kode (read below about it).
  • Extending an offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer that will mention the relevant details.
