Human Resources - Background Verification

Designation:

As a Background Verification (BGV) Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the comprehensive screening of individuals to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. You will work closely with employees, BGV Specialists, BGV vendors, to gather and verify information from various sources. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality are essential to the success of this role.

Role & responsibilities

• You will support the team in scrutinizing the credentials, documents and information of employees being on-boarded.
• Initiate the process and ensure closure of checks within the given time frame.
• You will be responsible for follow-up with external entities, to gather reports on authenticity of documents.
• Utilize different modes of verification process.
• Ensure TAT adherence.
• You must use the database and updates for faster execution of the process.
• Prioritize the checks in accordance with the timeline remaining for completion of reports.
• Identify discrepancies and irregularities in candidate information and escalate issues as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teams in HR to improve background verification processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while handling sensitive information.

What You’ll Need

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with consultants, Vendors & Leaders.
• Be persuasive and goal oriented.
• Able to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
