Position: Human Resources Manager Location: Chennai Experience: Minimum 6 years in HR Role Overview As the HR Manager, you'll steer full-cycle HR functionsfrom talent acquisition to employee developmentwhile fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performance workplace. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic HR Management Develop and champion HR strategies aligned with hotel goals and Marriott standards. Collaborate with the Hotel General Manager and leadership to support talent needs and operational plans. 2. Recruitment & Onboarding Lead end-to-end hiring: workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, offer issuance, and induction. Oversee orientation programs and cross-training for new hires to ensure seamless integration. 3. Training, Development & Retention Design and deliver training modules in partnership with department heads (soft skills, service standards). Implement retention initiativesrewards, recognition, career pathing 4. Employee Relations Act as HR business partner, addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and advising on disciplinary actions. Uphold a culture of open communication and engagement. 5. Compliance & Payroll Administration Ensure full compliance with Indian labour laws, POSH regulations, and global Marriott policies Administer payroll, benefits, leave and attendance, and gratuity schemes. 6. Performance & Policy Management Coordinate annual appraisals, probation reviews, and performance improvement plans. Develop, implement, and update HR policies and SOPs tailored to the hotel 7. HR Operations & Reporting Maintain confidential employee records, HRIS data, and generate monthly HR metrics (headcount, turnover, training hours) Plan and execute staff eventsteam meetings, festivals, wellness initiatives.
