Job Summary:

HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Key Responsibilities:

HR Partnering for Manufacturing Functions

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to department heads and line managers on all HR matters across plant functions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and EHS to support workforce strategies.

Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Support manpower planning and deployment in line with production forecasts and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead initiatives for talent acquisition, internal movement, and bench strength development for critical roles in manufacturing.

Performance Management

  • Drive the performance appraisal process (goal setting, mid-year, annual review, and calibration) for plant teams.
  • Guide managers in conducting effective feedback and performance discussions.

Training & Compliance

  • Facilitate technical, GMP, safety, and behavioral training in coordination with L&D and Quality teams.
  • Ensure plant compliance with labor laws, audits, and internal SOPs.

Change Management & Culture Building

  • Lead change initiatives related to lean manufacturing, digital transformation, and organizational culture.
  • Promote a high-performance, safety-first, and quality-driven culture at the shopfloor level.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Address employee grievances, conduct disciplinary procedures in line with labor law, and manage industrial relations (if applicable).
  • Organize R&R programs, skip-level meetings, employee connect sessions (e.g., Floor Walks” or “Coffee with HR”).

HR Metrics & Reporting

  • Monitor HR KPIs including attrition, absenteeism, training compliance, and productivity metrics.
  • Use data insights to recommend improvements to HR processes and engagement strategies.

Onboarding & Induction

  • Lead plant-level induction for new joiners including statutory, safety, and GMP compliance sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5– 08 years of HR experience, preferably in

    pharma

    ,

    FMCG

    ,

    chemical

    , or

    manufacturing sectors

  • Strong knowledge of

    labor laws

    ,

    GMP

    , and

    plant HR operations

  • Familiarity with

    shift operations

    ,

    contract labor management

    , and

    union relations

    (if applicable)
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools and Excel-based reporting
