HR Managerial Role - Performance, Rewards & Talent Development

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: Head HR

Position Overview:

The position is responsible for designing and executing strategies that strengthen talent development, foster a high-performance culture, and enhance employee engagement. The role covers performance management, total rewards, leadership development, succession planning, and learning & development, ensuring these initiatives are integrated and impactful.

Working closely with senior leadership, this position aligns HR strategies with business goals to attract, retain, and develop top talent. It focuses on building an environment of recognition, growth, and accountability, using data-driven insights to optimize talent practices and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement talent development strategies, including succession planning and career pathing, aligned with business goals.
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules to build organizational capability.
  • Drive performance management processes using modern frameworks such as OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, goal setting, and KRA formulation to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Lead employee engagement programs, analyse engagement data, and implement targeted action plans to enhance workplace culture.
  • Oversee rewards and compensation programs, including pay structures, benefits, and recognition initiatives, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, department heads, and external vendors to meet specialized training and development needs.
  • Track, analyse, and report key talent development metrics, leveraging data to assess program ROI and inform strategic decisions.
  • Stay updated on best practices and innovations in talent management, rewards, and leadership development to bring continuous improvement.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing HRIS systems, LMS platforms (at Admin level), data analytics tools, compensation platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deep knowledge of performance management methodologies, including OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, goal setting, and KRA/KPI design.
  • Strong understanding of rewards and benefits frameworks, job evaluation methods, and market benchmarking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Strong change management and organizational development capabilities.
  • Exposure to behavioural assessments, psychometrics, or coaching certifications (preferred).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR with a focus on talent development, learning, or organizational development.
