Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Management & Recruitment

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all restaurant roles (front-of-house and back-of-house), ensuring a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs specific to the restaurant environment.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including reviews, development plans, and disciplinary actions.

2. Compensation & Benefits (Payroll)

  • Oversee and manage the bi-weekly/monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with federal/state/provincial regulations, and timely distribution for all employees.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, paid time off (PTO), and retirement plans.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records, payroll files, and HR documentation.

3. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, resolving conflicts, and conducting internal investigations.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all local, state/provincial, and federal labor laws, including wage and hour regulations pertinent to the restaurant industry.
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks, maintaining a focus on a positive work culture.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate relevant workshops (e.g., food safety, customer service, leadership skills) to enhance employee performance and career growth.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources management or a senior HR Generalist role.
  • Industry Experience: Prior HR experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry is preffered.
  • Payroll Proficiency: Demonstrated familiarity and hands-on experience managing and processing payroll using HRIS/payroll software .
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor laws, including but not limited to FLSA, tip pooling regulations, and local health/safety regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. High level of discretion and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
