Job Description

Job Summary

The HR Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day human resource operations in a shipbuilding environment, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce management, compliance with labor laws, and employee relations. This role ensures smooth HR administration for both yard-based and site employees while maintaining compliance with statutory and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Coordinate manpower requirements for shipyard operations.
  • Source, screen, and schedule interviews for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Issue offer letters, appointment letters, and employment contracts.

2. Employee Onboarding & Documentation

  • Manage joining formalities, background verification, and KYC documents.
  • Maintain employee records, personal files, and digital HR data.
  • Issue ID cards, access cards, and safety induction schedules.

3. Payroll & Attendance

  • Track attendance through biometric/manual registers.
  • Process monthly payroll inputs including overtime, shift allowances, and deductions.
  • Coordinate with accounts for timely salary disbursement.

4. Compliance & Labor Laws

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws applicable to shipyards such as:
  • ESI
  • PF
  • Factories Act
  • Contract Labour Act
  • Handle inspections, audits, and statutory documentation.

5. Industrial Relations

  • Handle employee grievances in coordination with site management.
  • Support disciplinary procedures and domestic enquiries.
  • Manage union interactions if applicable.

6. Exit & Final Settlement

  • Handle resignation, termination, and contract completion processes.
  • Coordinate full and final settlements and issuance of NOC and experience letters.
  • Maintain exit interview records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources / Business Administration / Industrial Relations
  • Diploma/PG in HR is preferred

Experience

  • 2–5 years of HR experience (Freshers also can apply)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
