Job Title: Specialist – HR Compliance & Employee Relations

Department: Human Resources - Compliance & Employee Relations

Reporting To: Lead - HR Compliance & Employee Relations

Location: Chennai – Head Office

Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary: The Specialist – HR Compliance & Employee Relations leads and manages the disciplinary action lifecycle, employee relations, industrial disputes, and HR compliance processes. This role involves conducting investigations, managing labour disputes, handling employee litigation, and maintaining compliance with labour laws, maintain disciplinary tracker & reporting. Acts as a SME on disciplinary management and employee relations, while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.


Key Responsibilities & KRAs:

• Manages the disciplinary action process – DAC Committee of the Bank, conducts investigations, if required, and drafts disciplinary letters such as warnings, suspensions, and terminations; ensures that the cases are resolved promptly and documented accurately.

• Acts as an SME in ER&IR, analyses ER trends, handles labour disputes, supports grievance resolution and represents the Bank in labour court litigation when required.

• Coordinates with regulatory bodies and internal teams to support audits, inspections, and ensures compliance with labour laws; works closely with legal Team on employee litigation matters.

• Maintains the DAC tracker, prepares MIS reports for stakeholders, and presents case updates and ER trends to management; Uses data insights to recommend process improvements.

• Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to employee relations and HR compliance.


Preferred Candidate Profile:


• Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Human Resources, Law, or related discipline

  • Experience: 10-15 years’ experience in employee relations, disciplinary action management, and compliance

• Background: Experience managing labour court litigation and interacting with regulatory bodies preferred

• Skills: Strong expertise in labour laws, disciplinary investigations, employee relations, • compliance management, and effective stakeholder communication.
