Job Description

As an HR Assistant at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests. You will be responsible for maintaining digital records of employees and serving as the main point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the recruitment process, maintaining HR management team calendars, overseeing compensation and benefit documentation, and assisting with performance management procedures. Additionally, you will schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events, coordinate training sessions, conduct orientations for new staff, and produce reports on general HR activity. You will also be required to stay updated on the latest HR trends and best practices. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR assistant. Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations is essential, along with effective HR administration and people management skills. You should have a thorough understanding of HR functions and best practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in email, MS Office, and related business tools is necessary, along with strong organizational, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions are also key requirements for this role.
