Housekeeping Team Leader

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Team Leader will supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to hotel standards, and a clean, welcoming environment for guests. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and public area cleaners.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
• Train, coach, and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene policies.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies inventory and request stock replenishments when necessary.
• Coordinate with the front office and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll input, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in housekeeping, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leader role (hotel experience preferred).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
