Housekeeping Team Leader

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures. This includes Bed Room Service, Bathroom Service, Valet Service, and Linen maintenance. You will be expected to recommend changes to these standards and identify training needs on an ongoing basis. It is crucial to maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems to ensure efficient operations. Your duties will also involve opening and closing the shift, ensuring effective shift handovers, distributing and collecting keys, managing all incoming and outgoing calls, and addressing employee grievances. Room allocations, room inspections, and prioritizing arrival rooms will be part of your daily tasks. You will need to liaise with the Front Office to address guest and hotel requirements promptly and efficiently. Coordinating special projects such as site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, and room inventories will be part of your responsibilities. Managing all special requests made by guests, ensuring consistency within the department, and overseeing the management of lost property for the hotel are also key tasks. To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, employees, and third parties. Proficiency in English, as well as Microsoft Office, is required. Strong organizational and training abilities will also be necessary. Ideally, you should have a High School diploma or a Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel of similar size and complexity, including supervisory experience or training, is preferred.
