Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensure cleanliness standards, and manage housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in housekeeping and team supervision within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff including room attendants, janitors, and laundry personnel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Train new housekeeping staff and ensure adherence to hotel standards.
• Prepare work schedules and assign duties to staff.
• Ensure timely cleaning and turnaround of guest rooms.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens; request stock as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or damages to the maintenance department.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain housekeeping logs, inspection checklists, and records.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality management is a plus.
• 2–4 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of housekeeping management software (e.g., Opera, eZee).
• Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
