Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / General Manager

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of all guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and assigned spaces. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team of housekeeping staff to uphold the property's high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and linen attendants.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure timely cleaning and servicing of guest rooms as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities; coordinate with inventory or purchase departments when needed.
  • Train and onboard new housekeeping staff in company policies, procedures, and standards of service.
  • Prepare daily housekeeping schedules, manage staff rosters, and ensure efficient use of manpower.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance departments for room status updates, guest preferences, and repair work.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as per hotel policy and government regulations.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain records and reports on room occupancy, linen usage, staff performance, and inspections.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a hotel, resort, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality service.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer knowledge for reporting and scheduling purposes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
  • 2-4 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
