Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and manage hospital housekeeping staff and ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. The role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong focus on hospital infection control and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure patient rooms, wards, ICUs, operation theaters, outpatient areas, and administrative offices are cleaned and maintained as per hospital hygiene standards.
• Monitor cleanliness of floors, restrooms, linen, waste disposal, and common areas.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of housekeeping tasks to ensure quality standards.
• Implement and monitor infection control measures in coordination with hospital infection control committees.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials, and equipment.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate work to ensure adequate coverage.
• Handle staff grievances, resolve conflicts, and motivate the team for better performance.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety and sanitation protocols.
• Submit daily/weekly reports on housekeeping performance to the administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: 10th / 12th Pass; Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or Housekeeping preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in housekeeping, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role (hospital/healthcare experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of hospital sanitation, waste management, and infection control practices.
• Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage staff effectively and handle emergency cleaning situations.
