Housekeeping Manager

As the Housekeeping Manager at Marriott International, your role involves overseeing the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry, ensuring that property guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained. You will be responsible for completing inspections, holding employees accountable for corrective actions, and assisting in maintaining guest and employee satisfaction within the operating budget. Key Responsibilities: - Verify guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk promptly - Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms - Prepare work assignments for immediate cleaning and prospective check-outs/discharges - Maintain adequate supplies through inventory management - Supervise an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces - Manage housekeeping operations to achieve or exceed budgeted goals - Ensure employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms - Communicate areas needing attention to staff and ensure understanding - Supervise daily Housekeeping shift operations to comply with policies and standards - Participate in departmental meetings and communicate clear goals for desired results Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field OR - 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major without work experience At Marriott International, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where the diverse backgrounds of our associates are valued and celebrated.
