Job Description

As the Housekeeping Manager at our esteemed property, you will oversee the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry departments. Your primary responsibility will be to direct and collaborate with employees to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of property guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas. By conducting regular inspections, you will identify areas requiring attention and hold individuals accountable for necessary corrective actions. It will be crucial for you to work towards achieving and exceeding guest and employee satisfaction targets while adhering to the operational budget. To qualify for this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED along with at least 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related professional field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major from an accredited university will be accepted, even without prior work experience. Your core work activities will include managing Housekeeping operations and budgets efficiently. You will be responsible for communicating guest room statuses promptly to the Front Desk, conducting daily guestroom inspections, preparing work assignments for cleaning, and ensuring an adequate supply inventory. Furthermore, you will supervise and support an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces while aligning departmental operations with the property's financial goals. In terms of human resources activities, you will utilize on-the-job training tools to train new room attendants and maintain positive relationships with employees. Scheduling employees based on business demands, tracking their time and attendance, and ensuring adherence to property policies will also fall under your purview. Moreover, you will be involved in employee recognition programs, feedback solicitation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest service quality. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will be paramount, as you set a positive example for guest relations, uphold the brand's service culture, and proactively address guest problems and complaints.
