Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management:
Recruit, train, schedule, evaluate, motivate, and discipline housekeeping staff.
Operations Oversight:
Direct daily activities, ensure high cleanliness/tidiness standards, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and manage lost & found.

Procedural Development:
Establish and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Inventory & Budgeting:
Control housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen, and uniforms; manage departmental budgets and expenses.

Cross-Departmental Coordination:
Liaise with other hotel departments (e.g., Front Office, Maintenance) for seamless operations.

Guest Satisfaction:
Address guest complaints and ensure a comfortable environment.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Leadership & Management:
Strong HR, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to Detail:
Keen eye for cleanliness and presentation.
Communication:
Clear communication with staff and other departments.
Education:
Often requires a college diploma in Hospitality/Tourism or Business Management.
Experience:
Previous supervisory or management experience in housekeeping is usually required.
