Job Description

The Hotel Revenue Specialist is responsible for maximizing the hotel’s revenue and profitability through strategic pricing, inventory management, and forecasting. This role involves analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor performance, and implementing effective revenue strategies to optimize room sales and other hotel services. The Revenue Specialist works closely with the sales, marketing, and front office teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

· Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports and provide recommendations to management.

· Monitor competitor pricing, market demand, and industry trends to adjust hotel pricing strategies.

· Manage inventory distribution across various online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct booking channels.

· Conduct forecasting and budgeting to support financial planning and revenue goals.

· Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and packages.

· Optimize channel management and ensure parity across booking platforms.

· Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), and occupancy rates.

· Provide training and support to front office and reservations staff on revenue management practices.

· Assist in preparing revenue reports for senior management and ownership groups.


Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

· Proven experience in hotel revenue management, reservations, or related hospitality roles.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and channel managers.

· Excellent knowledge of online travel agencies (OTAs), GDS, and booking engine platforms.

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

· Ability to interpret financial data and market research effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
