Position Summary: The Horticulture Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of horticultural operations, ensuring the health, aesthetics, and sustainability of all plantings and green spaces. This role involves managing horticultural staff, overseeing landscape maintenance, and contributing to the development of landscape design and plant care strategies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement horticultural practices for plant health, pest management, irrigation, and soil fertility. Supervise daily maintenance of gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, and seasonal plantings. Lead and manage a team of horticulturists, gardeners, and groundskeepers. Plan and oversee landscape improvement projects and seasonal displays. Monitor and maintain plant inventory, including propagation and greenhouse operations (if applicable). Ensure all horticultural activities comply with environmental and safety regulations. Manage budget for horticultural supplies, equipment, and labor. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., education, marketing, events) for special programs or exhibitions. Provide training to staff on best horticultural practices and safety procedures. Evaluate and select appropriate plant species for various microclimates and landscape objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus. 5+ years of hands-on horticulture experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of plant biology, soil science, pest/disease control, and irrigation systems. Proficiency in landscape design and maintenance techniques. Experience with sustainable and organic gardening practices preferred. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to operate and maintain horticultural equipment and tools. Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Work Environment: Primarily outdoors with occasional office work for planning and administration. May require weekend or holiday work during peak seasons or special events Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
