As the Head of Central Refractory at Jindal Steel, your role involves leading and managing the refractory function within the steel plant. Your primary objectives will be to ensure reliable refractory performance, optimize costs, and drive continuous improvement to support uninterrupted operations. Responsible for overall operations of Mill Zone which includes Plate Mill, Bar Mill, and Hot Rolling Mill to achieve production, quality, and cost targets. Ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operations through effective planning, coordination, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities: Lead mill operations to meet production and quality goals. Optimize process efficiency, yield, and cost. Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams. Ensure compliance with safety and statutory standards. Drive continuous improvement and team development. Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production. 18+ years’ experience in Mill zone with leadership exposure.
