Job Description

Position: HoD Electrical & Instrumentation (Line 2)

Title: Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager

Unit: Manufacturing - Electrical & Instrumentation

Place: Umrongso (L2), Assam

Credentials: B.Tech – Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics

Responsibilities:

•Overall responsibility for ensuring smooth E&I Operations at the Plant, in line with business plan

•Responsible for preparation of annual budget, budgetary control & minimizing cost of inventory spare parts for E&I Dept

•Provide inputs for the E&I maintenance strategy of the plant in order to provide the best possible maintenance support in a prompt and cost-effective manner

•Responsible for adopting new techniques & technologies for betterment of plant efficiency, and engage in research for further development and implementation of industry best practices

•Responsible for ensuring regular proactive monitoring, maintenance and calibration of all machines/instruments to minimize plant down-time and improve plant reliability

•Responsible for ensuring safe working condition in plant area and adherence to environmental compliance and regulations

•Plan, schedule and co-ordinate installation/repair of electrical machinery & instruments with the best quality standards & efficient material management to optimize costs

•Responsible for quality service of the vendor calibrations, while ensuring that all outside calibration laboratory is accredited or certified

•Ensure cordial relationships with AMC Vendors at the plant sites to ensure on-time renewal of licenses, contracts, equipment and instrument lease etc

•Oversee and support the ongoing projects and other modification jobs

•Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs

•Train and develop the team including departmental contractual workforce and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need
