Role Overview:

The Head of Department (HOD) – Computer Science will be responsible for leading the academic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of Computer Science programs. The role involves close collaboration with university authorities, internal academic teams, and faculty members to ensure excellence in teaching, curriculum implementation, and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead the academic strategy and operations for Computer Science programs under the

NextGen vertical.

● Collaborate with University authorities and the CTPL Academic Team to ensure curriculum alignment, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

● Oversee course planning, scheduling, and delivery, ensuring academic excellence across all modules.

● Supervise and mentor faculty, ensuring consistent teaching quality and adherence to institutional standards.

● Monitor and evaluate faculty performance, timetables, and student feedback mechanisms.

● Coordinate labs, projects, workshops, and academic events to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

● Drive initiatives for industry integration, internships, and real-world exposure for students.

● Support research, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department.

● Foster a culture of academic integrity, collaboration, and student-centric learning.

Qualifications & Experience:

● Ph.D. / M.Tech / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

● 5–9 years of experience in academia, including at least 3 years in a leadership.

● Strong understanding of emerging technologies and trends in Computer Science education.

● Experience in curriculum design, academic planning, and university coordination.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

● Proven ability to mentor faculty and inspire students toward academic and professional excellence.
