The IT SharePoint Administrator will implement, administer, and support IT SharePoint application used by the companys employees.
Skills (Must Have)
- Proven
experience in administering and supporting both On- Prem & Online SharePoint, One Drive & Office 365 environments.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint administration concepts such as administering Sites, Site collections, Lists, Document libraries, Content types, Sub sites and controlling access using Active Directory.
- In-depth knowledge of Office tools,
O365 services and administration tools
, including PowerShell
. - Familiarity with
identity and access management (IAM)
principles and technologies. - Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR, HIPAA) would be a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide end user training and technical support of client's SharePoint topology including installation, configuration, migration and updation to SP servers.
- Plan, manage, and execute the implementation, maintenance & support of enterprise IT SharePoint sites
- Experience in Farm installation, configuration and managing
- SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019.
- Configuration of User Profile Service Application Installations and Deployment of Services Packs and Cumulative Updates for
- SharePoint 2019/2016/2013 Servers by using PowerShell
- Migration SharePoint On premise to Online O365 using Share Gate or other tools.
- Creating, configuring, and customizing Web Application, Team Sites including Site Collection,
- Lists, Document Libraries, Content Types, Custom Lists assigning permission levels to sites, sub-sites, folders, lists & documents
- Experience in using Error logging tools like ULS Viewer
- Creation of backup/restore and import/export site documentation for sites, lists, libraries, site collection
- Create and maintain training materials and user documentation for software applications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the company’s software vendors. Work with application vendors in the maintenance and support of applications.
- Respond to clients within timeframes dictated by the severity of the problem.
- Research operational processes and identify solutions to resolve problems and/or improve efficiency.
- Test applications and provide written evaluations and test results to developers.
- Maintain effective communication with facility and administrative and managerial personnel.
- Write and maintain functional and technical specifications and operating documentation.
- Keep help desk logs and identify troubleshooting patterns and / or persistent issues. Recommend training and creative improvements to reduce help desk calls.
- Create and maintain knowledge base of technical resources for employee use.
- Prepare post-implementation reports reviewing relevant events and improvement for future implementations.
- Position may require limited travel from time to time to perform duties of the position.
- Responsible implementation, administration, and support of applications used by the company’s employees including SharePoint, Kronos, and others as assigned.
- Act as conduit for end user feedback about applications. Be their advocate within the Information Technology Department for end user requirements and solutions.
- Document support calls and knowledge base with common problem resolutions.
- Develop and maintain implementation materials and processes for implementation of software applications.
